RSS Feeds

Subscribe to San Francisco Classical Voice's RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds to get the latest SFCV articles delivered directly to your computer.

What Is RSS?

Since the redesign of SFCV's Web site in July, we have been updating the site as articles are edited, rather than just once a week. For those who want to read SFCV articles more frequently than our weekly e-mail newsletter allows, there's a simple way to be instantly alerted whenever we add new articles to the site. It's called RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication. That's a complicated way of saying that you can subscribe to a "news feed" of content from your favorite Web sites or blogs. (Follow any RSS link on your favorite site for more information about specific feeds you can subscribe to.)

How Do I Subscribe to an RSS Feed?

Subscribing to an RSS feed is different from subscribing with your e-mail address to an e-mail newsletter, however. The difference is that you subscribe through some form of an RSS or Feed Reader. These are now available in multiple forms, and you can experiment to find the one most convenient for you. Click on the suggested links that match your computer/software setup to read feeds:

Terms of Use

SFCV's RSS service offers feeds of SFCV articles or headlines in XML format ("RSS Content") to visitors to this Web site (the "SFCV Site") who use RSS readers. SFCV offers its RSS feeds free of charge for noncommercial use by individuals. For other uses, please contact mickey@sfcv.org.

These Terms of Use govern your use of the RSS service. The use of the RSS service is also subject to the SFCV Member Agreement and Privacy Policy.

Use of RSS Feeds:

RSS is a free service offered by SFCV to individuals for private, noncommercial use. Any other uses, including without limitation the incorporation of advertising into or the placement of advertising associated with or targeted toward the RSS content, are strictly prohibited. You must use the RSS feeds as provided by SFCV, and you may not edit or modify the text, content, or links supplied by SFCV. For Web posting, reprint, transcript, or licensing requests, please send your request to mickey@sfcv.org.

Links to Content Pages:

The RSS service may be used only with those platforms from which a functional link is made available that, when accessed, takes the viewer directly to the display of the full article on the SFCV site. You may not display the RSS content in a manner that does not permit successful linking to, redirection to, or delivery of the applicable SFCV Web page. You may not insert any intermediate page, splash page, or other content between the RSS link and the applicable SFCV Web page.

Ownership/Attribution:

The copyright holder listed on the article retains all ownership and other rights to the RSS content. SFCV retains all ownership and other rights to all SFCV logos and trademarks used in connection with the RSS service. You must provide attribution to the SFCV site (www.sfcv.org) in connection with your use of the RSS feeds.

Right to Discontinue Feeds:

SFCV reserves the right to discontinue providing any or all of the RSS feeds at any time and to require you to cease displaying, distributing, or otherwise using any or all of the RSS feeds for any reason including, without limitation, your violation of any provision of these Terms of Use. SFCV assumes no liability for any of your activities in connection with the RSS feeds or for your use of the RSS feeds in connection with your Web site.
