Flat Barber
Regarding "Hilarity Steals the Spotlight," in the Nov. 7 issue:
Your review of The Barber of Seville was too kind. If one had seen it before the 2006 production it was flat, like reading yesterday's newspaper.
I saw Rigoletto four, yes four, times. But as for Barber, I left at the
intermission. It was not worth staying.
Your review glossed over the blemishes. Taken as a whole it was worse than the sum of the parts.
