Dolby Labs was the elegant setting for the Oct. 6 premiere screening of two new films by San Francisco Classical Voice for donors and supporters. Arriving guests, including SFCV co-founders Gordon Getty and Bob Commanday, enjoyed dramatic views of the San Francisco skyline, hors d’oeuvres, and fine wines donated by Dyer Vineyards and Long Vineyards.

Over the decades it’s continued to be a staple in the repertoire of film scores from Disney’s Fantasia to Coppola’s The Godfather. The fortunate guests were treated to a superb dinner in the formal dining room, and a look at the brilliant art collection that the Gettys have on display; the evening’s entertainment was provided by violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg.
