Stage Manager

OPEN POSITION: STAGE MANAGER

LEFT COAST CHAMBER ENSEMBLE (LCCE) IS LOOKING FOR A STAGE MANAGER FOR ITS 2022-23 CONCERT SEASON. We perform 5 sets of 2 concerts per year, in a variety of venues in San Francisco and the East Bay.

The candidate needs to be available on both days of each concert set (Sunday & Monday) for all concerts during the season as listed below, from approximately 5PM-10PM. They will be expected to prepare the show at the pre-concert dress rehearsal and stage manage the performance. 

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Spiking the stage during the dress rehearsal and preparing any light cues

• Supervising pre-show back-stage

• Ensuring performers are backstage and ready at the appropriate time

• Handling microphones for speakers

• Managing stage changes and Lighting cues during the performance

• Post-concert strike

• Briefing/Training stagehands, as needed 

• Be knowledgeable on how to supervise and run front-of-house, brief ushers, etc. in case of emergencies. 

The ideal candidate will be organized, a good communicator, and have stage management experience.

• Sunday, June 4, 2023 (Hillside Club, Berkeley)

• Monday, June 5, 2023 (SF Conservatory of Music, San Francisco)

ABOUT LEFT COAST CHAMBER ENSEMBLE (LCCE)

Founded in 1992, Left Coast Chamber Ensemble (LCCE) is a consortium of 16 San Francisco Bay Area musicians who create exciting performances of all types of classical music for all types of audiences. We work as a cohesive collective of artists who share values of integrity, quality, inclusion, service, curiosity, and advocacy. LCCE centers the music of our time in conversation with musical influences of the past, combining a vast repertoire into thematic performances in our established and well-received concert series. We are also committed to continuing and evolving our broad-based education program, sponsoring our annual composition contest, championing new music through the commissioning of new works, and collaborating with current and diverse artists, thinkers, and scholars.
