64 years after the passing away of Gandhi, known as Mahatma (a great soul), his inspired movements for non-violence, civil rights, and religious tolerance continues to be relevant in this modern age.
November 17-18, Abhinaya Dance Company of San José, the Bay Area’s foremost South Indian classical dance company, will premiere its 2012 production of GANDHI; which is built upon the company’s acclaimed 1995 production. GANDHI is directed and choreographed by Mythili Kumar and Rasika Kumar; and will feature the Abhinaya Dance Company of San José, accompanied by live music by master musicians.
