This double bill features the lively and infectious music of the Oakland Folkharmonic—a new five piece string ensemble lead by fiddlers Shira Kammen and Kaila Flexer—and power duo Teslim, with Flexer and multi-string instrumentalist Gari Hegedus. Clap and sing along, and explore the sounds (and fascinating instruments!) of Greece, Turkey, and the Middle East, from to medieval tunes to present-day compositions.
