Classical Revolution Classical Revolution presents the Vinca Quartet: An intimate evening of chamber music at the Red Poppy

Praised for their “stunning” musicianship (New York Times) and their “performances to remember” (Woodstock Times), the Vinca Quartet has consistently won over the hearts of audiences and critics alike through their dynamic interpretations, innovative programming and enduring passion for chamber music.

Strongly committed to inspiring new audiences and strengthening communities through their dedication to chamber music, the Vinca Quartet has helped launch multiple in-depth concert series serving communities overlooked by major classical groups. In 2010, they were selected as Quartet-in-Residence for the ProQuartet International Odyssée Program, spending a month performing, attending master classes and researching musical education systems across France. For the 2010-11 season, they will serve as the resident artists for the Perlman/Suncoast music program, bringing music education, mentoring, coaching and guidance to students in Florida. In 2007-08, the quartet took part in establishing Music Haven, a tuition-free strings and mentorship program devoted to transforming the lives of urban youth and their families through music in New Haven, CT. Other ongoing collaborative work includes exploring parallels between music and science with the Hertz Foundation, an organization aimed at nurturing remarkable applied scientists and engineers who show the most promise to change the world.

“To us, chamber music is a metaphor for the teamwork and community that defines human relationships at their best. We seek to share our love of music and our creative spirit with our audiences as openly and freely as possible, to inspire and impassion audiences of all ages and experience and to change peoples' lives through music. We strive to find innovative ways to make our art form understood by our current society by humanizing the concert experience.”
