This Viennese operetta, written in 1907, looks at the American nouveau riche with a European eye. The beautiful music of the Dollar Princess tells the story of Alice Conder, the sister of a rich American industrialist, brought to London to marry European nobility. Instead, Alice falls for a poor young Englishman and tries to win his love. Meanwhile, her brother falls in love with a lion tamer posing as a Countess! Come “discover” why this show was so popular in the early 1900’s.
