Marin Symphony Elizabeth Pitcairn returns with "The Red Violin"

Immerse yourself in 18th Century Splendor and Elegance. Alasdair Neale conducts Mozart’s “Great” G minor Symphony (No. 40) and Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, performed and lead by violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn in the style of Vivaldi's day.

Ms. Pitcairn performs in partnership with the legendary 1720 "Red Mendelssohn" Stradivarius, affectionately known as "The Red Violin," said to have inspired the 1999 Academy Award-winning movie by the same title.

Barbara Quick, author of Vivaldi’s Virgins, joins Alasdair Neale in conversation, pre-concert (6:30-7pm).
