Music at Kohl Haydn and Mozart: Conversations Between Friends with the Philharmonia Baroque Chamber Players

Launched in 2005 with a special concert in London’s Covent Garden, the Philharmonia Baroque Chamber Players are drawn from the award-winning Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra. The Players offer select chamber repertoire performed by members of the renowned PBO. Recently featured at the Berkeley Festival & Exhibition in June 2006 and 2008, the PBO Chamber Players make a welcome Music at Kohl début with a program selected to celebrate the holidays. The Players’ New Esterhazy String Quartet will perform, joined by oboist Marc Schachman.

There will be a pre-concert talk at 6pm with Kai Christiansen.

“Old-fashioned” Christmas music takes on a new meaning when the Philharmonia Baroque Chamber Players celebrate the holiday season at Kohl Mansion on Dec. 13. Like its parent group, the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, this chamber music quartet performs early music on period instruments.
