Open Opera events are family-friendly and admission is always FREE. Audience members are encouraged to bring a picnic basket and folding chairs or a blanket to lie on. Open Opera is dedicated to building community through the arts by producing free, professional performances to Bay Area parks.

Open Opera is a Berkeley favorite. The organization's beloved Concerts in the Park debuted in 2008 in Berkeley, and Open Opera has returned several times since. In 2009, Open Opera presented a full-scale production of "The Marriage of Figaro" in Berkeley's John Hinkel Park to an audience of hundreds.
