Danish harpsichordist and conductor Lars Ulrik Mortensen leads the orchestra in a program of works by Johann Sebastian Bach that delves not only to the heart of the Baroque repertoire, but to the orchestra's very beginnings. For the first time since its first concert, the orchestra performs Bach's beloved ode to eternal love, "Weichet nur, betrubte Schatten" ("The Wedding Cantata"), with Swedish soprano Maria Keohane. Mortensen is featured in two of Bach's virtuosic harpsichord concertos and also conducts the orchestra in the Baroque master's first Orchestral Suite.
