The San Francisco Boys Chorus in partnership with the Diocese of Oakland and Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland will present a Haiti Earthquake Relief Concert on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 5 p.m. for Haiti disaster relief.
The Grammy award winning San Francisco Boys Chorus (SFBC) under the direction of Artistic Director Ian Robertson will perform with world-renowned mezzo soprano Frederica von Stade, along with members of the acclaimed San Francisco Opera Chorus, a cappella chamber choir International Orange Chorale, and Cathedral organist and Music Director Rudy de Vos.
Tickets to the Haiti Earthquake Relief Concert for a suggested donation of $25 are available online at www.sfbc.org/haitibenefitconcert or at the door on the day of the concert. All proceeds go to the Catholic Relief Services Haiti Response Fund (CRS). CRS has already committed to an initial $5 million emergency response, and its 300 staff in Haiti are well-positioned to commence immediate relief activities. www.crs.org.
