Let the music move you! Watch the amazing young dancers from the Berkeley Ballet Theater transform the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra’s notes into graceful leaps and turns, then come onto the stage to learn a step or two yourself! No experience necessary—just follow your youngster and pretend no one’s watching.
Visual delights and audience participation make these fun-loving concerts a joy for all ages! Our Family Concert series introduces Bay Area children ages three through twelve to a wide range of classical music, setting the stage for a lifelong appreciation of this engaging art form. We also feature guest performances from highly accomplished youth soloists and community arts performers. And as part of our Side-by-Side Program, young musicians from the area’s best music schools and ensembles are invited to rehearse and perform onstage alongside our professionals.
Admission is free to all concertgoers! Seating is first come, first served (no tickets). Concerts are generally 45 to 60 minutes in length. Doors open 30 minutes before concert time.
Two performances in San Francisco: First performance begins at 2:00, second performance begins at 3:30.
Program is presented throughout the weekend in San Francisco, Oakland, and San Mateo. Vist sfchamberorchestra.org for our complete schedule.
