San Francisco Conservatory of Music Georgia Duan: Colombina's Masks

Soprano Georgia Duan is a rising talent in the San Francisco Bay Area with a keen interest in the Italian and Austrian operatic styles. She makes her debut this summer in Germany as the Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte) with the Mittelsächsiches Theater Freiberg. This season, she sang Mabel (Pirates of Penzance) with Pacific Repertory Opera and Zerbinetta in the West Coast premiere of the original 1912 version of Richard Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos.

Georgia has performed roles in the traditional operatic vein, including Miss Silberklang, Gretel and Bastienne. Yet she also enjoys twentieth-century American opera and has sung in operas by John Duke and Paul Siskind.
