San Francisco Conservatory of Music Hot Air Music Festival

The Hot Air Music Festival returns to the San Francisco Conservatory for its fourth annual marathon of new music programming. Starting at 1 pm and ending at 9 pm, dozens of new music performances and premieres will be presented by some of the Bay Area's most talented ensembles, including the Ives Quartet, Valinor Winds, Friction Quartet and the Mobius Trio. Highlights of the festival include a performance of Steve Reich's Electric Counterpoint by the San Francisco Conservatory's guitar ensemble and the premiere of Loren Jones' orchestral and choral meditation on the history of San Francisco music, Dancing on the Brink of the World.
