Von Stade Joins San Francisco Girls Chorus For "In Praise of Music" on March 25

San Francisco Girls Chorus will offer "In Praise of Music" at Calvary Presbyterian Church on March 25. In her celebratory final concert with the Girls Chorus, Artistic Director Susan McMane will be joined by special guests including world-renowned opera singer Frederica Von Stade, Emil Miland and Justin Montigne on a diverse program featuring music by Purcell, Schubert, Paulus, local composer David Conte and a new world premiere by Joan Szymko. The SFGC Alumnae Chorus will lend its voices to the program for works by Holst, Chesnokov and others requiring double choirs. The powerful afternoon of singing will set the tone for an exciting June program.
