Welcome the Orchestra’s new Assistant Conductor and Wattis Foundation Music Director of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra Donato Cabrera, who has worked with these young musicians in rehearsal and as a judge in the Orchestra’s Concerto Competition. For almost three decades, our Youth Orchestra has delighted audiences at home and abroad, in such legendary venues as Vienna’s Musikverein, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Paris’s Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Leipzig’s Gewandhaus, St. Petersburg’s Mariinsky Theater, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and, of course, Davies Symphony Hall.
