A committed educator and distinguished performer, Lawrence Ferrara has performed major recitals in San Francisco, Toronto, Barcelona, Los Angeles and at Carnegie Recital Hall in New York. He has appeared as soloist with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, Bay Chamber Symphony, Classical Philharmonic and the Conservatory’s Chamber Orchestra and New Music Ensemble. Ferrara was twice prize winner at the Carmel Classic Guitar Competition, has served on the music advisory panel to the National Endowment of the Arts and is author of music books titled “The Student Repertoire Series for Guitar, Vols. 1 and 2” (Guitar Solo).
The SF State School of Music and Dance opens its Concert Music course to the public with engaging recitals featuring student, faculty and guest performances. Enjoy the sounds and sights by solo artists and ensembles in jazz, world, chamber music, strings, choral music, dance and more.
