Roberto Turrin graduated from the G. Tartini school in Trieste, Italy, where he studied under M. Luciano Gante and pianist Lya De Barberis in Italy and Meisterkurse Zofingen in Switzerland. After receiving awards from the International Music Competitions in Stresa and Morcone, Italy, Turrin began his career as a soloist, performing in North America and throughout Europe. His tours received wide acclaim from the public and critics alike. Turrin’s accomplishments include duet ensembles with violin and clarinet, and recordings for television and radio stations. He is on the faculty at the Conservatory of Music “G. Tartini” in Trieste. He has given master classes at SF State, other universities and numerous conservatories.
The SF State School of Music and Dance opens its Concert Music course to the public with engaging recitals featuring student, faculty and guest performances. Enjoy the sounds and sights by solo artists and ensembles in jazz, world, chamber music, strings, choral music, dance and more.
