Sierra Summer Festival of the Performing Arts Beethoven, The Mammoth!

The exciting climax to the 2010 Sierra Summer Festival will open with the Eastern Sierra Symphony Orchestra performing the Overture to “Egmont”, Opus 84. Award winning pianist, Stephen Beus, will join the orchestra in a performance of Beethoven’s startlingly dramatic Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No.3 in C Minor, Opus 37. The victorious Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, Opus 67, perhaps the most popular of Beethoven’s compositions, will bring the concert to a dynamic finale.

Accompanying the music will be a narrative by Charles Scatolini giving the audience an insight into the musical program and a greater understanding and appreciation of the evening’s musical performance.

Prior to the concert, there will be a Gala Dinner Celebration, which will feature an all inclusive dinner at Nevados restaurant, located at the intersection of Main Street and Minaret Road in Mammoth Lakes. All reservations will begin at 5:30pm and Gala guests will have reserved seats for the symphony concert at the Mountainside Conference Center at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. There will be the annual raffle of Bogidar Avramov's baton for the thrill to conduct The Eastern Sierra Symphony Orchestra. Share a delightful evening with fellow supporters of classical orchestral music and the Sierra Summer Festival.
