Chamber music need not be serious. But it should be spelled correctly. Enter the Alphabet Concerts, a whimsical performance project uniting North Bay audiences with composers representing every letter of the alphabet. The Letter P comes to Sonoma State University on April 3 at 4 p.m. in Room 1028 of the Green Music Center music education building.
Led by cellist Judiyaba, formerly of the San Francisco Symphony and Opera orchestras, performers include SF Opera orchestra members Leslie Ludena, violin, Rufus Olivier, bassoon and Zachariah Spellman, tuba. Trio Navarro pianist Marilyn Thompson joins Olivier and Spellman for a unique rendering of Poulenc's Trio for oboe, bassoon and piano.
