The SSU Jazz Orchestra, directed by Doug Leibinger, offers up the finest in traditional and contemporary Big Band literature. The Commanders, a newly revived ensemble from the US Air Force Band of the Golden West, not only carries on the American musical tradition of the great Big Bands but delivers the full gamut of jazz music - traditional jazz, cool, bop, swing, Broadway favorites, and patriotic music.
