Volti -- San Francisco's award-winning specialists in contemporary vocal music -- opens its concert season with a celebration of song featuring the high school choirs from our educational outreach program, the Choral Institute for High School Singers. This year, we highlight the choirs from Head-Royce School in Oakland and the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts. These kids are amazing musicians and this concert is a high-spirited explosion of sound, as each choir sings selections of its own and then all -- high school and adult singers -- join in a final massed piece, 100 or more voices raised in William Albright's glorious 1979 "Chichester Mass."
