Bay Area Youth Orchestra Festival (BAYOF) Hope Concert

Young People's Symphony Orchestra

Young People's Symphony Orchestra Bay Area Youth Orchestra Festival (BAYOF) Hope Concert

Join six of the Bay Area’s Youth Orchestras as their 575 musicians and six conductors as they come together for a celebration of music in our vibrant community with a special concert hosted by Veteran Bay Area broadcast news anchor, Emmy and Peabody award winner Wendy Tokuda. Proceeds from the concert will benefit six organizations, one within each orchestra’s local community, that provide resources to underserved and homeless youth.

Each orchestra will take its turn on the stage of Davies Symphony Hall and play approximately 10 minutes of music. For the encore, 110 selected members from all six orchestras will play together as the Festival Orchestra under the direction of Young People Symphony Orchestra’s Music Director/Conductor, David Ramadanoff.

The participating youth orchestras include: California Youth Symphony, Oakland Youth Orchestra, Peninsula Youth Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Orchestra, and Young People’s Symphony Orchestra.

The program:
Richard Strauss’ Dance of the Seven Veils from “Salome,” California Youth Symphony, Leo Eylar, conductor
