Vallejo Choral Society, at 50-singers strong, is in final rehearsals in preparation to present an extraordinary choral program under the artistic leadership of Julia Morris.

The focal point of the concert is Michael Haydn’s rarely performed Requiem in C minor, a piece known to have had a profound influence on Mozart’s Requiem.

Guest soloists include Ellen Leslie, soprano; Melissa Dufort, mezzo soprano; Sidney Ragland, tenor; and Adam Cole, baritone.

The VCS Symphonic and Chamber Choirs will also perform “Beloved,” by Andrea Daly, and “Suite Remembrance,” by Melissa Dunphy.

Following the concerts, guests are invited to enjoy wine and refreshments.
