SF’s own classical music radio station streams its live broadcasts in real time. Regular broadcasts of local performances include the SF Symphony every Tuesday evening at 8pm, and the SF Opera at 8pm the first Sunday of every month. Podcasts relating to the Opera broadcasts are also available from KDFC.

SFUSD’s public radio station features music programming on many evenings and streams in real time. Regular classical broadcasts include Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Mondays at 10pm; Music from Other Minds Fridays at 11pm; and the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra on select Sunday afternoons. Boston’s public radio station offers this classical-dedicated online outlet.

NPR has extensive music site, with links to broadcast features as well as music to stream and download. Excellent classical offerings.  Also has links to other NPR stations across US that offer classical programming.

The BBC offers free classical streaming, as well as other music genres.

BBC’s Radio 3 also offers a wide range of classical programming, plus podcasts.

This site lists 155 online radio stations for streaming classical music from around the world (many languages).
