reports on the opening of a new exhibition at the Handel museum in Mayfair, London, the site of adjacent homes of both George Frideric Handel and rock legend Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix was apparently thrilled when he learned of the coincidence, and some listeners claim to hear the influence of Handel in Hendrix’s subsequent work. The space he occupied is now part of the Handel museum. The exhibition, “Handel & Hendrix in London,” will run from August to November, with extensive memorabilia, photos, and film stock honoring the iconic guitarist.
