Private Lessons

Community School of Music and Arts enhances the quality of life in our region by engaging our diverse community in high-quality arts education, performances and exhibitions. CSMA is a center for arts education where children and adults can learn and develop their artistic skills. Any student is welcome here, from the complete novice to the professional wanting to cross train and be stimulated by contact with peers.

CSMA's multi-lingual faculty of more than 75 instructors with national and international credentials is ready to help students experience the joy of music. Private instruction for all ages is offered year round for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. At weekly lessons students study with an instructor selected to complement a student's individual learning style. CSMA offers private lessons of 30, 45 or 60 minutes in classical, jazz, popular and world music styles. Partner lessons may also be available for beginning level students. Each semester (except summer) private lesson students have a choice to enroll free of cost in either one weekly Music class OR two New Media classes. Core Curriculum Classes offer students the opportunity to study in a group and to prepare for youth bands, jazz combos, orchestras chamber music, music exams and end-of-semester recitals, as well as training in muscianship, theory, composition and new media.
