I am currently in my 6th year as the Music Director at Tierra Linda Middle School in San Carlos, CA. Prior to this position, I was the Assistant Band Director at La Canada High/Middle School in Southern California. At my current position I have 32 Trombonists, 28 Euphonium players and 16 Tuba players. Teaching brass is my passion!

Currently I have a studio of over 50 musicians ranging in ages from 6 to 18. I have taught over 200 private students in the past 6 years and the success has been overwhelming...
52 kids participated in CMEA Solo/Ensemble
30 Superiors and 10 Excellent Ratings and 12 Command Performance Superiors. My tuba students have held the top spots in the California Youth Symphony, Claremont Youth Symphony, Pasadena Youth Symphony and the Peninsula Youth Symphony. Two years ago I was the only teacher to have TEN PRIVATE students make the California All State Band. One of my former students currently holds a 50% position with the Stuttgart Opera.
