Mikako Endo

Mikako Endo is a piano teacher and composer, born in Tokyo, Japan. She comes from three generations of professional jazz musicians. She received her B.M. in Music Education and Composition from Tokyo Gakugei Univ. and her M.A. from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. In Japan, she was not only a popular piano teacher, but also produced several successful music videos. Since arriving in the U.S. she has worked as an audio engineer, provided computer animations for the CD-ROM "Children of the Cranes", and composed music for it and for two CD-ROM games, "Gazillionaire" and "Zapitalism". She is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California and ASCAP. Her works include songs, music for cello and piano, jazz ensembles, and electronic music (her piece "Where Am I" was included in the 2003 "60x60" compact disk issued by Vox Novus).
