Sundays @ Four: David Requiro and Roy Bogas
David Requiro is one of the Crowden School’s most illustrious musician alumni. Winning thehugely prestigious Naumburg Violoncello Competition in 2008 has led to a thriving solo career, membership in the Jupiter Chamber Players in New York, and various artist residencies.
Cesar Franck’s A Major Sonata (originally for violin) and FelixMendelssohn’s Cello Sonata No. 2 are the big repertory items on the program. It’s modestly priced, it’s accessible, it’s perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
Michael Zwiebach is the senior editor/ content manager for SFCV. He assigns all articles and content, manages the writing staff and does editing. A member of SFCV from the beginning, Michael holds a Ph.D. in music history from the University of California, Berkeley.
