November 10
Joshua Bell, violin and Sam Haywood, piano
Joshua Bell shows up a fair amount in the Bay Area, but let’s not get blasé about that. A Bell
concert is still a good reason to bestir yourself to get tickets and make a trip. Sacramento Valley
residents should be particularly pleased that the violinist is showing up at the Mondavi Center
with the Franck Sonata, the Prokofiev Second Sonata, and a few more works to be announced
from the stage. Normally, you’d have to drive into San Francisco for such an enchanted evening.
As it is, the recital is so high-demand that you’d better drop everything right now if you want a
ticket.
