Fascinatin' Rhythm

Young Women's Choral Projects of San Francisco
By Michael Zwiebach

Young Womens’ Choral Projects For its first big concert, the newly-established Young Womens’ Choral Projects starts off with some fancy rhythms from Gershwin, leading to a whole set of Latin American polyrhythms, American spirituals, and other traditional tunes. And to complicate and complement the already tricky rhythms, the girls perform with body artists Keith Terry and Crosspulse. I only hope sitting down will be optional in this concert.

Michael Zwiebach is the senior editor/ content manager for SFCV. He assigns all articles and content, manages the writing staff and does editing. A member of SFCV from the beginning, Michael holds a Ph.D. in music history from the University of California, Berkeley.
