Your son will join the appropriate age group and will sing with their choir for approximately 30mins. Following this, the Artistic Director of PBA will audition your son. The audition with the Artistic Director takes approximately 5 minutes and includes accessible melodic and rhythmic music games and exercises.
Students under the age of 18 perform works by J. S. Bach as members of ensembles and/or as soloists. Memorization is required for soloists. Accompanists and members of ensembles may use scores. Groups larger than 16 need to audition by CD

The San Francisco Boys Chorus is a universally recognized arts leader, promoting excellence in performance and arts education. Boys 4-1/2 to 12 are welcome! We have a Graduate Chorus for older boys. To register or for more information visit www.sfbc.org.
The Silicon Valley Boychoir will be holding auditions for its 2012-2013 season on Monday, August 20. Boys will audition in small groups set up by appointment. The multi-level choir is held after school in Palo Alto for boys ages 7 and up. Space is limited.

Our Artistic Director, Peggy Spool, works with each singer based on what is developmentally appropriate for their age. This includes an ear check, and sight reading check, and for older singers warmups to check for range and vocal quality. Concert Choir level and above, ages 12-17, are encouraged to prepare a song to perform.
