Akiko Kojima

Akiko has been combining her teaching and performing career for more than 10 years.

Since obtaining her Masters of Music and Professional Studies Diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Akiko has won positions with the Marin Symphony, California Symphony, Monterey Symphony, Fresno Philharmonic, and Santa Cruz Symphony.

In conjunction with her performing career, Akiko has continued her education with teacher training in the Suzuki Method, Mimi Zweig's Pedagogy as well as the Sassmanhaus Method. She draws on these various methods as well as other resources to teach her violin studio in the Inner Sunset.

Akiko's violin studio holds two recitals per year, as well as monthly group lessons during the school year.

Students of all levels and ages are welcome.
