I am a professional pianist, teacher, and counselor who moved to the East Bay to pursue my master's degree in Expressive Arts Therapy at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. For the over fifteen years, I have been earning my income as a performing artist, accompanist, and teacher. In that time, I have had the privilege of running two private music studios (out of state), assisting my brother, Jeff Cappelli, in starting The Cappelli Institute of Music in the Chicago area, as well as developing and teaching music programs for at-risk youth through the inner city Head Start Program of Chicago.
I have had a successful career, rich with diversity in teaching. I believe I will always be a teacher in some capacity and that my studies will only enhance and enrich my skills. I have been blessed with years of working with children and adults in varied musical capacities and bring to my teaching a reverence for the individual.
