Tamara Miller is a professional musician and actor with a home studio in Oakland where she teaches piano and music theory to children and voice to adults. For children she focuses on the whole musician, incorporating sight reading, rhythm, scales and chords, theory and storytelling through music. For adults she focuses on technique and artistry. Her method involves easy vowel, alignment, breath support and clear communication. She worked as a music educator at the Cabrillo Youth Chorus and has been teaching privately for over five years.
Tamara holds a degree in music from the University of California, Berkeley where she studied vocal performance and conducting. She is a frequent Bay Area soloist and performer. She has performed recently with Musae, Bay Area Classical Harmonies, Mission City Opera, the Santa Cruz Symphony, Ensemble Monterey, Berkeley Summer Symphony, San Francisco City Choir and Bay Area Children's Theatre.
