The Tony Award-winning co-creators of the cult rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch take the stage for an evening of songs and stories. Stephen Trask wrote the music and lyrics, and John Cameron Mitchell created the title role when the show premiered off-Broadway more than 20 years ago, portraying the “internationally ignored” East German transgender singer fronting a struggling rock band. The program draws in both “Hedheads” and newcomers alike, as Mitchell and Trask connect stories in their own lives to Hedwig’s search for self-awareness and acceptance.
