Ragnar Bohlin and Cappella SF invite you on a journey through the choral music of France. Our trip begins with the magical sounds of the late Medieval and early Renaissance periods where we will sample works by Machaut, Josquin and more. We move into the elegance of the 18th century with Couperin and experience the lushness of the 19th and early 20th centuries with Debussy, Duruflé and Fauré. The musical journey ends with the magnificent and emotionally powerful Figure humaine, written for double choir by Francis Poulenc. A free reception follows the concert.
