Charity and the JAMband JAMband Family Festival Halloween Concert 2012

San Francisco's award-winning tribe of family musicians, Charity and the JAMband, will join forces with "free-range, organic folk" San Diego-based Hullabaloo for a rousing show and Halloween party for families at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28 at the Park Chalet/Beach Chalet, 1000 Great Highway, San Francisco, CA. Costumes are welcome! This performance is part of the JAMband Family Festival series of free concerts produced by Charity Kahn for children and their families to enjoy together, serving up handmade music and dance outside under the open skies and atop the grass and earth, nestled between the forests of Golden Gate Park and the sandy shores of beautiful Ocean Beach.

First up will be Hullabaloo, with an array of fan favorites from the band's nine award-winning albums, including "Blah, Blah, Blah, "Little Bird," and "Sippy Cup," in addition to great new songs from their new release, Raise a Ruckus and an assortment of traditional tunes. Says Hullabaloo's Steve Denyes, "We'll mix in plenty of familiar, traditional kids' songs to keep everyone singing, dancing, and stomping their feet, and I promise we'll laugh a lot. At the end of the show there'll be stickers for every child who promises not to eat theirs."

Kids and their grownups should come to Charity and the JAMband’s portion of the show prepared for a happy, healthy, "mini-Woodstock for families." The band is renowned for its funky and unforgettable grooves, stick-in-your-head melodies, and lyrics that talk up to kids. All of their songs have accompanying choreography, so the mosh pit is always grooving. Charity and the JAMband shows are a rocking celebration of coming together as one big family, united by song, dance and love.

With ten major national awards in their hip pocket and an eight-year track record of glowing critical acclaim, Hullabaloo has pulled out all the stops for their 10th studio CD, Raise a Ruckus. Produced by GRAMMY® nominee Tor Hyams, Raise a Ruckus takes Hullabaloo's down-home, good-times musical ebullience to a new level, with guest artists Grammy® winner Buck Howdy, Grammy® winner Marcy Marxer, Molly Ledford of Lunch Money, and the extraordinary multi-instrumentalist Dennis Caplinger bringing their considerable talents to a kick-up-your-heels party with the duo that's been described as a blend of Johnny Cash, Woody Guthrie, and Mr. Rogers.
