Earplay’s 2017 home season of bold new music – Air, Wind, Water – continues at San Francisco’s ODC Theater on Monday, March 20, 2017. Concert 2: Wind includes the winner of the 2016 Earplay Donald Aird Composers Competition by Stephen Yip, a revised version of an Earplay commission by Linda Bouchard, a cello piece by Heidi Jacob, and two works by this season's focus composer Toru Takemitsu. The concert will be preceded by a panel discussion with Bouchard and Yip at 6:45p, moderated by Earplay Board Member and composer, Bruce Bennett. Conducted with stellar precision and passion by Mary Chun, the ensemble includes Terrie Baune (violin), Ellen Ruth Rose (viola), Thalia Moore (cello), Tod Brody (flute), Peter Josheff (clarinet), and Brenda Tom (piano). Guest artists on this concert include Meredith Clark (harp) and Keisuke Nakagoshi (piano).
