Student soloist Bennet Huang is a thirteen-year-old eighth grader at Jordan Middle School in Palo Alto. He began cello lessons with Dr. Vicky Wang at age eight and is currently assistant principal for the Senior Symphony's cello section. This is his third season at ECYS. He was co-principal in Sinfonietta Orchestra and Galbraith Honor Strings. Bennet was a winner at the CMTANC and the US Open Chamber Music Competition. He picked up the clarinet in fifth grade and studied under Ti Huang. Currently, he is studying with Stanford University clarinet lecturer Mark Brandenburg. Alex joined ECYS when he was in sixth grade and has won the ECYS Solo and Concerto Competition twice. Alex was the principal clarinetist in ECYS's Wind Orchestra and Sinfonietta Orchestra during his two past seasons, and he is now in the Senior Symphony.

The Sinfonietta Orchestra is directed by Dr. Camilla Kolchinsky, now in her nineteenth season with ECYS.
