Festival Musica Marin: An Evening in Italy

Join us as we kick off the Festival with a taste of Italian music and food.

Hear a rarely performed work by Italian composer Lino Liviabella performed by his grandson world-renowned violinist Hans Liviabella and Artistic Director and violist Ruth Kahn. Members of the San Francisco Boys Chorus will follow with an inspiring selection of works by Italian composers. Celebrated German-Italian lyric baritone Marco Vassalli and Adler Fellow pianist César Cañón will perform romantic Italian arias, lieder and songs. KDFC’s Dianne Nicolini emcees this wonderful journey to Italy and beyond.

The opening night party includes Chefs Pierpaolo Iovinelli from Ischia, Italy, and Angelo Servino of Servino Ristorante in Tiburon serving traditional Italian appetizers from their regions while Enad Germani of the Truffle Association of Italy shares dishes featuring the rare White Truffle from Alba Italy, paired with Italian wines. All to be enjoyed with live music in a spectacular setting.
