Topics covered: Digital workstation signal chain, home studio acoustics, principles of microphones, and recording and mixing techniques. Prerequisites or Materials Needed in Advance of Course: Computer, Recording interface, recording software Artist Biography: Reto Peter has been making records for 20 years in Europe, NYC and the Bay Area and is credited on Gold and Platinum albums by Green Day, Modest Mouse, The Counting Crows, Flipsyde, and many chart topping artists from his native Switzerland. He also writes and produces music for television and his work can be heard on UFC, MTV, BRAVO, and national ad campaigns. He operates The Teahouse, his own project studio in Oakland, and is an active member of the local audio community as a producer, engineer, teacher, and voting member of the Recording Academy.
