Signal Flow is a student run music festival held every spring at Mills College. All students graduating from the music program the year of the festival present their thesis pieces at various venues around the campus. Signal Flow pieces may be theses in composition, electronic music or improvisation and can take many different forms: installations, solo improvisations, chamber pieces and more. The festival was formed in 2007 to create a memorable event around graduating students‘ pieces which are a culmination of months of hard work, practice and research during their time at Mills College. In 2020, 12 students will present their pieces during March 5th-7th at various venues around the Mills campus.
