Music in the Vineyards Music in the Vineyards: Virtual Chamber Music Festival

Chamber music is an art form designed for intimate settings, and we have recreated our Napa Valley festival in the most intimate of settings: your very own home. For our 26th season, we present our first-ever *FREE* Virtual Festival this August! Artistic Directors Michael & Daria T. Adams will introduce creative, virtual concerts from MITV performers plus interviews with musicians, winemaker conversations, and surprise extras via video from our beautiful winery venues. ***The venue listed is a virtual online setting only - please do not physically go to the winery.***

Florence Price was the first African-American female composer to gain national recognition. Her music blends two traditions, African-American and European, evidenced in this string quartet based on American Folk music. We pair her music with that of Judith Weir, whose piece for solo cello brings to life music sung by black prisoners in the American south.
