Founded in the Bay Area in 1995, Solstice is a national award-winning vocal ensemble that has enthralled audiences with a dynamic repertoire of music for women's voices. Past performances by Solstice in the Bay Area include The Freight & Salvage, La Pena Cultural Center, Montalvo Arts Center, & KALW Folk Music & Beyond. Solstice celebrates the power of women's voices and the resilience of the human spirit. They will be performing works by Hildegard von Bingen, Francis Poulenc, Maurice Durufle plus folk music from Estonia, Finland, Scotland, Macedonia, & the U.S.
