Poetry in Motion
Pacific Chamber Orchestra begins its 29th Season at the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 16th at 7:30 pm. Lawrence Kohl, orchestra founder and conductor for 28 years, presents a musical journey into the world of “Poetry in Motion” with Mozart’s Overture to the Opera The Abduction from the Seraglio. Natsuki Fukasawa will be the featured soloist in the Beethoven Piano Concerto #4. A Fulbright Scholar, Ms. Fukasawa has performed throughout the nation, as well as Europe, Scandinavia, Israel, Australia, Brazil, Japan and China.
A reception will follow Ms. Fukasawa’s performance.
Schubert’s Symphony #1 in D Major will conclude the concert.
Tickets are $10. To $40. Children with paying adult are free. Maestro Kohl introduces each selection providing a connecting thread between music, composers, musicians and audience. Tickets are available at www.PacificChamberOrchestra.org or at the door. The concert will be repeated the following Sunday, September 17th at 2 pm in the Bankhead Theater in Livermore.
