Jews & Music Online (JAMOnline) returns in 2021 with a series of unique and insightful dialogues and performances featuring artists and scholars from around the world. Hosted by Jews & Music Scholar-in-Residence Francesco Spagnolo, the first JAMOnline program features opera star countertenor Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen who will share his journey from synagogue cantor to star opera singer. Aryeh will perform Janowski’s ethereal “Avinu Malkeinu,” Ravel’s beautiful setting of the Kaddish, traditional prayers from the holiday canon, and Baroque offerings to bring it full circle.
